The Hundred Stone. This uncarved block with a slot in the top has no distinctive features which could enable one to provide a date. Its commanding position and the fact it was the meeting place for the 'Hundred of Stone' court as noted by Brian and Moira Gittos (2004b, 48) could indicate that it was placed there in the pre-Conquest period, but it could equally be a medieval monument.
Appendix B item (stones wrongly associated with pre-Conquest period).
