Present Condition
This fragment of the sarcophagus lid fits over the corner of the sarcophagus between A and B; although only a small fragment of the original, the surviving decoration is in reasonably good condition.
Description

The extant decoration on A and B is contained by thin roll mouldings and separated by a simple, two-stranded, knot in triquetra form.

A (parallel with A of 7a): This face is decorated with a simple three-stranded interlace. The base is damaged and it is not clear how the pattern terminates. It is truncated on the left where the fragment is broken.

B (above B of 7a): This face contains a fragment of three-stranded interlace terminating in a circular loop on the left-hand side.

C and D: Broken

E (top): The surviving decoration consists of a series of turned loops which appear to be linked together.

F (base): Undecorated
