Measurements: H. 143 cm (56.3 in); W. 44 > 33 cm (17.3 > 12.9 in); D. 33 > 23 cm (12.9 > 9 in)
Stone type: Well-sorted, fine- to medium-grained white to grayish orange pink sandstone (5YR 8/1–8/2) with fine cross bedding. Pale well-cemented from of Hollington Formation, Sherwood Sandstone Group, Triassic (R.T.)

Present Condition
Worn and weathered so that almost no decoration survives.
Description
A (broad): Worn smooth with pitting or small depressions suggesting interlace, but nothing diagnostic survives.
B (narrow): Also worn smooth with only a ‘hint’ of former plait-work or interlace surviving at the top.
C (Broad): Worn smooth with pitting or small depressions suggesting interlace, but nothing diagnostic survives.
D (narrow): This face is plain and shows signs of advanced weathering.
Discussion
The remains of this shaft are now too worn and weathered to provide any scope for discussion. Only the shape and dimensions indicate that it was an Anglo-Saxon cross shaft.

Unclear, but possibly of similar date to Checkley 1 and 2
