Present Condition
Face C has been entirely lost; one border, plus adjacent ornament, has been cut away on faces B and D.
Description

A (broad): Within flat lateral moulding borders is a fragment of meander pattern.

B (narrow): All that remains are two overlapping strands of interlace.

C (broad): Lost

D (narrow): Within the surviving area are two crossing interlace strands.

Discussion

The meander pattern is used on Macclesfield 1 above and is a Viking-age motif.
