Carving only survives on one face, and here what seem to be the remains of two ribbon animals are interlaced with median-incised strands. The body of the one on the right is double outlined with crosshatching, the body of the one on the bottom left is decorated with beading.
This is a fragment of West Saxon ribbon animal ornament, and within the group the simple crosshatching may be compared with Frome 1 (Ills. 221–2), whilst the beaded animal body may have been wider — compare West Camel (Ills. 346–8). See introduction p. 42.
