RF 9180: found in the course of archaeological excavations in 1987 in Trench 4 to the north of the crypt in Feature 3054, a possible robber-trench for a foundation at the north-east angle of the 'central space'.

Description

Part of a ?horizontal moulding, at a re-entrant angle, comprising a flattened almost quarter-round element with smaller less rounded elements to either side.

Discussion

Possibly part of a string-course, but re-used as shown by painted lines on the broken rear face.
