Object type: Architectural fragment
Measurements: L. 10 cm (3.94 in); W. 7 cm (2.75 in); D. 4 cm (1.57 in)
Stone type: Greyish orange pink (5YR 7/2), moderately to well sorted, clast-supported, quartz sandstone. The sub-angular to sub-rounded clasts mostly vary from 0.2 to 0.4 mm, but dominantly the clasts are 0.3 mm across. The clasts are dominantly quartz, but a few yellowish pink feldspars are present. Part of a ?horizontal moulding, at a re-entrant angle, comprising a flattened almost quarter-round element with smaller less rounded elements to either side.
Possibly part of a string-course, but re-used as shown by painted lines on the broken rear face.
