Built horizontally into the base of the south face of the north jamb of the east window in the south aisle.

Description

Largely dressed away, but with possible traces of the folds of a robe. The round object at top right is possibly the head of the figure, which seems to hold a scroll in front of it.

Discussion

Possibly a fragment of cross-shaft redressed for use as a building stone, difficult but not impossible to date. See Little Ouseburn 4.
