Object type: Fragment of cross-shaft(?)
Measurements: H/L. 33.5 cm (13.2 in); W. 20.5 cm (8.1 in); D. 18 cm (7.1 in)
Stone type: Medium grained Millstone Grit with sub angular grains, no obvious alkali feldspar clasts or mica flakes. Stone provenance probably as for Little Ouseburn (Holy Trinity) 1. [J.S.]

Largely dressed away, but with possible traces of the folds of a robe. The round object at top right is possibly the head of the figure, which seems to hold a scroll in front of it.
Possibly a fragment of cross-shaft redressed for use as a building stone, difficult but not impossible to date. See Little Ouseburn 4.
