Fragment of a complex moulding. The flat face carries a deep, V-shaped groove about two-thirds of the way down from the upper edge. Beneath the lower edge of the face the moulding slopes inwards, with the junction between face and slope accentuated by an upward-pointing V-shaped groove.
This small fragment, perhaps from a piece of church furniture, was reused in Period III and must therefore belong to one of the first two periods in the development of the church (see also Gloucester St Oswald 26).
